Last weekend, MUBC headed up to Newcastle to race at BUCs Head. Day 1 gave us some beautiful conditions, as we watched our Senior Women’s 8+ take to the water for division 1. The Senior Men’s 8+s and the Senior Women’s 4x were next up at they competed in division 2 in the afternoon. All 4 of our senior crews had a brilliant day of racing and were very happy with their performances.
Day 2 saw the arrival of our Novice crews, ready to compete in the beginner categories. We had the Men’s 8+ and Women’s 4+ in the morning and the Women’s 8+ and Men’s 4+ in the afternoon! After a strong start in the morning, the Novice Women’s 8+ managed to secure 7th place in the WBeg8+ ! Both Novice Men and Novice Women are making excellent progress and we are excited to continue watching them and cheering them on in upcoming races!
Next weekend, we are headed off to Runcorn for Runcorn Spring Head as we make our way through head season, and Women’s Head of the River and Head of the River are just around the corner, so stay tuned!
