Nemesis Boat Club

Nemesis Boat Club is the Alumni Club for Manchester University Boat Club.

The Nemesis crews for the Bridgewater cup between Nemesis and MUBC.

Their aims are to provide MUBC Alumni with a club which organises races and socials, keeps members updated with what is happening at MUBC, and to raise funds for MUBC to help them achieve better results.

Nemesis Boat Club was formed in 2005 after the merger of The Victoria University of Manchester and UMIST. In June 2008 the club was affiliated with the ARA and it is now possible to race as Nemesis Boat Club including at Henley from 2009 (provided you are not a current student at the University of Manchester). It first succeeded in qualifying a boat into the Thames Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta in 2014.

In February 2005 MUBC held its first Annual Ball in Manchester Town Hall, almost 100 people attended and the night was a huge success. The Annual Dinner has gone from strength to strength and now includes the presentation of the Bridgewater Cup, to the winner of the MUBC 1st VIII vs. Nemesis race.

Nemesis BC have their own website and Facebook group.
