On September the 25th, MUBC embarked on a huge challenge in order to raise money for the club, as well as donating 50% of the total funds raised to Unseen, a charity that works with survivors of human tracking and modern day slavery.
We set out to raise £1000 by rowing continuously for 24 hours, starting at 12pm on Monday and finishing at 12pm on Tuesday. The weather was on our side and we were lucky to be rowing in sunny and dry conditions, although temperatures dropped significantly for those on the night shifts! Overall, the row went exceptionally well and, as it stands, we raised £1600!
We’d like to thank everyone who has donated and supported our cause.
